In 2008, Achasta was selected as the location of the first-ever Points North Signature Home. This innovative partnership between Achasta and one of the top-read lifestyle magazines in Atlanta resulted in a ground-breaking new show home that redefined the possibilities for building in the community and paved the way for the 2009 Southern Living® Idea House and the 2010 Ideal Living Magazine Home.

Designed to integrate seamlessly into its natural surroundings, the home stretches skyward through the tree canopy, to reveal views of the distant Appalachian peaks. The 4,500 square-foot-plus showcase home, complete with 10-foot barrel vaulted ceilings, features four bedrooms and 3.5 baths, not to mention a sizable wine cellar and tasting room.

The interior is a combination of natural woods and contemporary accessories, from the window treatments to the kitchen cabinets. "Our goal is to bring a modern, sophisticated feel to a rustic, mountain home," said project interior designer Julie St. John- Starcher. "We went with trendier, cleaner lines to show how the furniture you have in the city can still fit in your home in the mountains."
