2009 Dream Home Awards Honor Reynolds Plantation And Linger Longer Homes

Greensboro, Ga. (June 11, 2009) – Reynolds Plantation has been named the Community of the Year by the Dream Home Awards.  Linger Longer Homes has also been recognized with a Silver Award for the Points North Magazine Signature Home at Achasta in Dahlonega, Ga.  The Dream Home Awards, an independent award program for the nation’s building industry, are designed to reward excellence in the building industry for architecture, building, design and innovation.

Linger Longer Homes was presented with a Silver Award for the Custom Contemporary Home of the Year.  The Points North Magazine Signature Home project included custom builder Linger Longer Homes, St. John Starcher Interior Designs, Inc. and Terry Allen, of Bogart, Ga., as the photographer.

“The Points North Magazine Signature Home represented a fresh new look in style, materials and finish designed to complement a breathtaking community,” said Tom Allhoff, vice president of Linger Longer Homes.  “The ability to design and build a new home to fit into such a spectacular setting was very rewarding for all of our design and build team members.”

Dream Home Awards are presented to those companies and individuals who assist in creating America’s Dream Homes and set new standards of excellence in the nation’s building industry.  The competition is open to interior designers, architects, builders, remodelers, communities and trade contractors.  Firms from across the country are invited to compete in categories such as custom home products, interior design, commercial and mixed-use projects, as well as the prestigious Community of the Year award.

The selection of exceptional judges is critical to the Dream Home Awards.  All of the judges are builders, developers, architects, interior designers and/or marketing professionals. Judges are selected to produce the most well-rounded, highly qualified and geographically diverse judging group possible.
