The Achasta Grille takes great pride in preparing and serving healthy choice menu items. We have recently added Weight Watchers points and calories so our guests can enjoy and be more comfortable with dining out without guessing the caloric intake of their meals.
On two Sundays per month our chef puts together an “extra special” brunch menu. Carving station, freshly made omelets, delicious waffles, and homemade pancakes are just a few of the delectable dishes.
If you miss brunch, you can always order from our lunch menu, which is most famous for their Grilled Chicken Wrap and their delicious Blueberry Parfait.

He first developed his strong appetite for cooking at Piazza Italian Restaurant in Dahlonega, GA. There he worked under restaurant owner David Meyer and Chef de Cuisine Gill learning the ends and outs of basic cooking techniques. After learning these invaluable lessons, he made his way to Corkscrew Café where he served as a prep / dishwasher. Here he learned the mis-en-place, which means “A place for everything, and everything in its place”.
Yazzie would then return to Piazza where he began learning the front of house aspects of the food and beverage industry. Under Chef Gill, Yazzie quickly moved up to line cook and then lead line cook.
Upon proving himself time and time again, Yazzie became chef of Piazza in Big Canoe at the young age of 26. He worked as Chef de Cuisine for a year before he joined the Mountains Grill culinary team at the opening of the new clubhouse located on Lake Sconti. Yazzie would later find himself working at the award-winning AJ’s restaurant in Gainesville. While still working for AJ’s, Yazzie joined his friend Chef Colin Rhoads at the Achasta Grille as a line cook where he quickly moved up to lead line cook. Yazzie was recently promoted to Head Chef at the Achasta Grille.
Yazzie brings experience from every aspect of the food and beverage industry to the Achasta Grille. His knowledge and expertise are invaluable.
